Veins of Rust

This hand-built ceramic vessel draws on the layered surfaces of landscapes.  Inspired by geological formations and the patterns that are created from forming the land.  This piece uses slips and natural oxides to evoke strata connecting the material of clay to the broader landscape that formed it .   Both sculptural and functional, this vessel can be styled as a standalone artwork or used to hold natural elements within the home.
