Every Journal Starts with One Page

I possibly have 100 art journals  of varying sizes and uses around my studio but there is something simply wonderful and incredibly special about making handmade journals to create in. The design of a journal is guided by your intention and purpose of its use.  There are hundreds of ways to create them and we will be exploring a technique that I've been playing with  to create your own unique journal similar to the ones pictured above.

We will be using a number of techniques and supplies to decorate your journal including moulding paste and scumbling (dry brush technique).

After we have assembled our journals (time permitting) we will explore ideas around a creative journey and play with a process called found poem technique to add some words.

This is going to be a super exciting creative adventure as we journey in our journals taking in the artistic landscape.
